How to register FAQ
- How can I pay?
Most schools accept Quetzals (Guatemalan currency), US$ cash, or US$ Traveler’s Checks. There are ATM’s in most mayor cities, so you can bring your credit card (VISA is more common than Mastercard). Our recommendation is to take your money in US$ Traveler’s Checks and about $200 in small $ bills for the start. - How do I enrol?
Please use the button on each school’s display in order to register. You will find a form to fill in (Your data, study dates, your level of Spanish, etc).
Some schools offer free registration (“free sign up”). You send your data to the school, which then confirms your registration, and that’s it. Please do not sign up for various schools at the same time!
Other schools require you to pay a registration fee (“secure enrol”). You can pay by PayPal, with cashier’s check or by bank transfer. - What does my fee include?
The fee generally includes 20 (Antigua, other towns) to 25 (Quetzaltenango) hours per week of one on one teaching in the school. It also includes a room and three meals daily (except Sundays) in a local host family. Furthermore, most schools offer free afternoon activities.
